Starting in Mammoth, Wyoming (part of Yellowstone National Park), in June 1998, the hike got far as Jasper, Alberta in October 1998, racing winter down off the mountains. |

The second leg began again in March 1999 with a ski section from Jasper, Alberta to Monkman Provincial Park in British Columbia, a difficult traverse that has not been done before. The trek continues in June and will end in Watson Lake, Yukon in September 1999, hopefully before the snow flies. | |
